CONLUSA and its partners have a long standing tradition in advising and supporting local German institutions such as the German School of Lisbon (DSL), Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Goethe Institute in Lisbon as well as both German churches.
Helmfried Horster is the guiding light of the PESSOA-GOETHE project at the DSL. He was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for promoting Portuguese-German economic relations over the years.
Stephan Stieb is president of the German Evangelical Church in Lisbon and is actively involved in a number of social issues. In 2010, he was honoured with the Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in recognition of many years service advising German institutions in Portugal as well as his active commitment to social issues.
Under the auspices of Luís Miguel Ehlert CONLUSA developed, pro bono, a sponsorship model on behalf of the Federal Economics Ministry, for funding and implementing the German cultural contribution at the world exhibition EXPO '98 in Lisbon. The development and implementation of "The days of Portuguese-German Culture", as it was called, was a resounding success.
In June 2010 Luís organized a benefit concert dinner with the renowned Portuguese jazz pianist Mario Laginha. Proceeds were donated to the organization of the traditional festivities of the town of Penedo, Sintra. The event was such a success that it is set to be repeated on an annual basis.
